So over a year ago a group of people here on the Steem block chain all got together and began to devote their time and votes towards finding new content creators and supporting them. There was no fee or cost to this. The only ask was that the new folks were creating good content and needed help getting it out there. 

During this time largely due to people truly throwing their all in the initiative took off. But a constant is change and many folks moved on or simply didn't have the time to throw at it so things died down. Myself (@mudcat36) and great people like @simplymike, @bashadow, and many others would occasionally try to reignite Newbie Resteem but we all would end up getting pulled away due to things outside of our control or just a large work load. 

A NEW GROUP FORMING:

In the beginning the idea of helping new content creators at a grass roots level for free started between myself and @davemccoy. @davemccoy being himself worked like a demon and before long we had a large group of community members working hard day and night. The one thing that was learned is that a common goal of helping content creators as well as making wonderful friendships here on the block chain was possible. Great communities were formed and great new people discovered. 

It occurred to me the other day that with all of the new mobile Steem apps that handling curation can be done in a way I couldn't before. I travel a lot so sitting on a train while looking through Steemit for new people to help out or promote won't be near as difficult. One of our key members who left a donation of Steem Dollars was @amairespeaks. She is without a doubt one of my favorite people I have ever had the privilege to have worked with in the block chain space, and what she left I intend to make good use of by putting it towards a good cause. 

The new group right now consists of two. Myself (@mudcat36), and @shuck. We will be able to bring over 3,000 sp to our collective vote weight now with @newbieresteemday, and after this post all votes will be going towards the newbies, the consistent posters, and making newcomers feel welcomed... well... as long as their not posting block chain junk. I.e plagiarized content and the like.
