## Tactics?

It could be called a business plan but I prefer tactics. Or the old tic-tacs of the game. Prices are down, people are panicking, selling, jumping from the rooftops, (well hopefully not). You can see from the feeds and the activity that people are following the market trends and activity is going down at the same rate as the bitcoin price.

Now I was unfortunately watching Ireland play soccer twice this week and it was just as painful as watching the price of STEEM. The main takeaway that i had from the two games is that there was a severe lack of tactics, game plan and no willingness to attack. So painful to watch and gets you nowhere. I can only say that there are a lot of people that seem to have the same approach on here. Or had as they have all gone dark lately.

I'm going to take the opposite approach, **AAA**. Or all out attack as the other lads call it on the astro-turf. This is the greatest opportunity that I've been afforded to metaphorically score a goal on STEEM. I remember starting out on the site and how big and scary it seemed. Minnows seemed massive, dolphins a scary breed out of reach and whales these mythical creatures that only existed in rumors and hidden corners or the dark steemchain.

As of today Anybody can become a minnow with just $200, dolphin for $2000 or whale for a measly $200,000 for anybody with some spare change lying around. I don't quite have that much to hand but dolphin has suddenly become a very real and achievable goal for me. I had been targeting it within the next 12 months but the drop in prices and activity has just moved that up by a long way.

## Opportunity

This is people's opportunity to stand out on the site. When I joined prices were high and the feed was very busy with new posts every second of the day. Anything that was posted washed down the steemit drain in a matter of moments. Right now it's actually become hard to find content. Hardfork 20 washed out a lot of the spam and the drop in price seems to have discouraged all those part time steemians. The people left are the core group of people that have money invested in the site, have built up accounts to a high level and who are not looking at the price rather the value of what they have. 

Price and value don't always correlate and i would say that this is a great example of that. I'm looking at coinmarketcap and some of the coins sitting above us with caps over 500k and prices over $5 with nothing to offer and no real value to them. 

*“Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.”*

What we have with STEEM is a product, community and a plan for the future. That is why i think that the value is so much higher than the price you are paying for it. I have managed to pick up some STEEM during the crash and hope to get a bit more before the markets recover. That however is just one route towards growth.

## Activity, activity, activity.
<br>
The other AAA, lots of activity. Posting, commenting, apps, steemmonsters. Since everything has gone quiet this is the perfect time to increase my activity. If we want it to be busier on the site then we need to produce more content, interact with more people and push things in the direction that we want. I've discovered some great new accounts lately that I had never seen before. Found some great content that I would have skipped over and participated in more communities that i was oblivious to in the past. Hopefully that will flow in the other direction as well and bring new people to what i am doing.

As I have said in the past it's all about finding good new people at the moment. The people who are grafting away on here with good projects and good content. Building up those connections is vital and will really show up in the long run when everything gets busier again.
