# Ron Paul is something of a totem amongst the libertarian movement. Whilst I don't agree with everything he says, his position on 'Monetary Policy' - the technical term for how and by whom our currency is created - is solid.

# Every human being should understand the problem with The Federal Reserve. A private company who has the power to create money out of thin air. Governments are then charged for the use of this money - the cost of which is then passed on to us in the form of taxation and (as they 'create' ever increasing amounts of money, devaluing each unit) inflation.

# I've met multiple people with degrees and PhD's in economics who did not fully understand this process. The educational system deliberately obfuscates it. Yet fiat currency and its effects is arguably the taproot of all corruption in the world and ALL children should be schooled in it.
