I would have enjoyed school more growing up if I got to ride a bus like this. Instead, I just rode the short bus (haha that's true...we didn't have a full-sized bus for a while).  I was pretty excited to ride this bus in Guatemala though when I had the chance.

I just saw it had balloons and ran after it yelling "Get on that bus!" Doesn't really matter where it's going, because wherever you end up, you'll end up exploring somewhere new.

The buses here are called "chicken buses." Sometimes there are chickens on them, but not usually. They usually are old school buses from the US that are repainted with designs and colors. Because Guatemala knows whats up!

They know that yellow school buses are OLD school. And boring.

I've seen that in Central America, buses seem to have a lot more colour than in South America. Although they do have a lot of designs and colourful patterns here too.
