Back in August, I live a relatively simple life. I did the occasional blog, got depressed because I needed to meet my registration requirement, gone to a lot of adventures with someone special and, generally tried to sit on the fence even when the hard fork became  a big obsession with everyone here. Not that I am downplaying it. Its just that I was lost in my own world.

Back then, my life was pretty simple.I thought that I do not really need a lot of tokens. Aside from finding a strategy to utilize my hunt tokens, occasionally peek through drug wars and being content as a non entity, I was fairly happy! I am living the simple life!

# The awakening

My bubble suddenly burst when I discovered steem engine! It was pretty innocent really. @crypto.piotr sent me a message asking me if I wanted to delegate my airdrop palnet tokens to him for a good cause. Back then, I did not even know what he was talking about. I had been peeking in and out of our community and when I was reading his message, I probably looked like this:

I was just out for nearly a week or so and a lot of things happened already! Did I sleep and got mysteriously transported in the future?

Seriously, I was pretty on board with the idea. I personally know this guy and, I am sure that its all for a good cause. The next thing I am doing, I am logging into the system. It took quite awhile for me to get there and I was about to do this

if I was not able to get into the system within 30 seconds. Fortunately I did! But, I did not get air dropped and, I did this:

Luckily, @cicisaja  taught me what to do: use  palnet as a tag in all your posts! Which I had been doing since then.

# Wallet

Back when I started here, the only tokens that I am aware of was hunt token, steem dollar, steem power and steem. I did not really anticipate that me, being away for quite a short time would experience a token overload.

I am trying to be professional here. A person who has token overload looks like this:

Remember the time when everyone was so looking forward to the hunt tokens? I really busted my ass trying to find a secure wallet and here in Australia, that's a bit hard to find. I do not mean this:

Dabbling in the cryptocurrency world, this is not the first time that I had ever handled a digital wallet. I have a few- I think a dozen or so the last time I checked.......

There are simply a lot of variety of tokens out there and, I am not one of those people who would exchange anything that they got. I will always save and exchange it in a bulk because, I am a stingy person. I do need to watch the transaction costs. Besides, the more I make transactions on most of them, the easier it would be for anyone to infiltrate my security settings as I have not really thought of installing anything special yet.


# Tribe

Using steem peak as my primary browser when I want to write, I discovered that there's such a thing as TRIBES. I do not even know which tribe I belong to because if I am going to base it on all the tokens I have, I sort of became a multi tribe being or, should I just say, that if I am a dog, I will be a mongreal? 

Anyway, it amazes me that although I am not actively using any tags, I get to receive tokens and rewards .

# Cashing in

I haven't really seriously cashed in yet because:

A. I am still busy.
B. I cannot find a secure way of doing it.
C. I am still trying to figure out what to buy with it.
D. All of the above.


Yes. You read it right. It is starting to resemble a multiple choice exam because, as I have been telling you, when it comes to my tokens, even non steemit related, my mind looked like this:

Not that I am panicking because of the sudden BTC price drops. I am talking about how I could make a smart choice.Aside from staking and converting them to btc, can you guys offer any suggestions?  I know, I am not as innocent as you guys might expect me to. I have been here for quite awhile. Price hikes and lows does not scare me anymore.  But still, I feel so overwhelmed with all the tokens cropping in everywhere they are starting to resemble mushrooms after a thunderstorm.

I know that I am not alone feeling overwhelmed and, I am trying my best to be on track. In fact, I think I'll end up here. I need to watch the steemitfest!
