Yes, I know what quarter horses are, but the term automatically came to mind when I saw these two the other day:

Quarter horses are called that because they are very fast sprinters, fastest on the quarter mile, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Quarter_Horse. The ones in the photo are just short-arses 8-).

About the colour: not too red? I shot this while the sun was setting, but I couldn't bring my myself to correct for the very warm colour temperature, as I thought it looked nice as it was.

No, I don't think so. It was obviously late in the day, which I liked. A warm glow of that precious zero hour. Your window frames/light globe are still pretty much stark white, with no cast. So it is obviously shot as is, unless you spent umpteen hours in the electronic darkroom ( :    I enjoyed it as it is.
