Relationship is a vital aspect of our lives and it can make and mar us. Who we choose determines how our lives would turn out. When you marry right, you become happy but when you choose the wrong person that doesn't fit your kind of person due to pressure and desperation, then you become a philosopher.

Below are some of the Don'ts of relationship that was shared on Sunday. I tried to make it as simple and easy as possible. You are free to contribute and air your opinions too.

# 1. Do not marry who will not listen. 

>Proverbs 1:7 NIV:
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

In the name of “I really love him/her”, you can cage yourself for the rest of your life.

# 2. Do not marry someone that cannot control his/her emotions.

There’s a higher dimension to anger, it’s called wrath. 

>Proverbs 19:11&19 NIV:
11-A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense.
19-A hot-tempered person must pay the penalty; rescue them, and you will have to do it again.

A man/woman who masters their emotions will make excuses for you because they understands that we all make mistakes. To stay single and enjoy your life is better.

People become angry and they destroy what they have labored for, for years. People have lost jobs and opportunities because of anger. The fruit of the spirit will make you overlook some things. It is better to be single than to live with a short tempered person. 

We exist in kinds. If you leave such relationship, you cannot be stranded. Abel may be gone but there’s Seth.

# 3. Do not marry the person that says “I cannot change” 

>Romans 3:18 NIV: “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

There’s no one that cannot change. There will always be something to change. Anybody can change regardless of their age. Whatever it is, you can deal with it. When you see someone who says "that’s my nature"avoid him/her. They are done.

Don’t be rigid. If you’re rigid, you cannot make progress. The best you are, we haven’t seen yet, don’t be rigid.
