Transportation isn't just putting your automobiles into gear or drive mode and moving on, its more than applying breaks and doing complex maneuvering on the streets and interstate highways. There is the maintenance aspect of your vehicular assets, the management part(fuel, oil consumptions) as well as the perfect handling of your automobile.

If you are in the supply chain and logistics business, then you must deal with the advance aspect of transportation. Starting a new business in Haulage made me realise this, i now understand that the importance of supply chain as an advance course because hauling services doesn't go alone, most clients and companies will always need your services to supply goods a couple of times like i have been doing lately.

In supplying as a Haulage service provider, keeping stocks when loading and offloading at various loading and dropping bays is your sole responsibilities. When things don't get accounted for, your paycheck goes missing or deducted. Same goes for handling of your truck, any damages to the goods being hauled means a poor handling of supplies and hence deduction or zero paychecks as well.

Transportation isn't as easy as it sounds if you agree with my few points stated, but its a lucrative business if you ask me if you are doing it rightly.
