My Out of Body Experiences (Astral Projection, Hyperlucid dreams and trance states) were so frequent in my younger years, I had one form or the other of these OBEs every Blessed day. As for the Astral Projection, where you consciously separate yourself from the physical body or you consciously witness it happen without any real effort of your own, they usually present themselves in three forms. In one form I'm just a conscious witness where I go to sleep and just a few moments later I'm awakened to this intense vibrations that engulfs my whole being and a very loud grating sound in my ears. I'm often spooked at the onset but very quickly I realize what's happening and say "oh, here I go again", I let the process run it's course and sometimes I just find myself popped out of the physical form and at other times, I roll over on my side or I just sit up and off my physical form. Another way, a more frightening form Astral Projection presents itself to me is in sleep paralysis, usually in the hypnopompic or hypnagogic state of sleep. The third form in which Astral Projection has presented itself to me it's when I consciously lie on my bed with intent to Separate myself from my body. This is the rarest of all three forms. In fact in my whole life, I've not been able to consciously Astral Project more than a dozen times. The great majority of the time, I just see it happening, spontaneously. Now astral Projection aside, another more common way of accessing the astral planes is by coming awake there via the phenomenon of "lucid dreaming". What really happens here is that like the great majority of humanity whom astral Project every night and each time, day or night they fall asleep without even suspecting because consciousness for the time being has been deeply absorbed in the self projected thoughts of the subconscious mind, the process of separation of Spirit from body is often missed like one under anesthesia, undergoing surgery who is often unaware of what had taken place in the surgical theater. For reasons maybe esoteric, it so happens that often times the one dreaming, deeply absorbed in the meaningless thoughts of the subconscious is suddenly snapped back to reality in the conscious mind and brought fully awake to the realities and environment of the astral plane. "I think, therefore I am". Yes, it's you, the real you and none other that has arrived in the finer realms. What you left behind lying on your bed is nothing but a perishable garment that clothes you in the world of matter. In all my Out of Body Experiences, lucid dreaming numbers in the thousands, spontaneous astral projection comes next in the hundreds and of course just a dozen or a little more of conscious self-willed astral projection. My evidence for my out of body experiences is so overwhelming that dozens of times, I've found myself in the astral realm in strange neighborhoods I never knew existed in the physical world, only for me to innocently in the course of my daily routines, pass through or rather stumble upon these same areas with all landmark features fully represented as seen in the astral realm. The main difference between dreaming and lucid dreaming is that in the former, the subconscious mind dominates the consciousness while in the latter, the conscious mind is in control and a good ally of the Spirit. Both take place in the astral realm but when you dream, you are absorbed in your inner thoughts and completely blind to the external astral environment while in a lucid dream(an inappropriate name for the phenomenon), you are focused on the outer astral environment and play witness to happenings in the astral world.
