#### Project Information * Repository: https://github.com/k3b/Aphotomanager * Title: When an attempt is made withing aphotomanager to rename device internal memory without editing its original title , the app freezes. #### Expected behavior I expected feedbacks like "No changes made" or "cant rename this directory" which is the feedback I got when I made actual changes to the directory title. #### Actual behavior Aphotomanager freezes or stops to respond when there is an attempt to rename the device internal memory without making actual change to its original name. When the same action is carried out on SD card, the app lag only lags for a couple of seconds. #### How to reproduce * Launch APhotomanager (which can be downloaded from Fdroid.org) * Locate a folder icon at the top right corner of the gallery view. * Click on this icon to view the various directories and folder in your device. * Locate the internal memory directory and long press on it tab. Hi @organik, thanks for carefully observing and reporting this error. Sadly this error is similar to numerous documented issues. The application has been reported to have file permission issues, while it is able to read files, writing to or modifying a file is restricted to the app. This similar issues can be found here-([1](https://github.com/k3b/APhotoManager/issues/95),[2](https://github.com/k3b/APhotoManager/issues/94),[3](https://github.com/k3b/APhotoManager/issues/61)). If you run through the list of opened issues on the app's github repo, you would notice there's been a lot of complaints regarding file access permissions both on sd card and internal storage. And its freezing cause its unable to perform the operation you intended. In other cases it crashed when a simple error dialog could have been returned. Point is, the root cause of these cases are similar - they all trying to perform a write operation.
