# Desire & Goals...................Intrinsic & Extrinsic Motivations
An intrinsic motivation is when our desire to achieve our goals comes from within us, when we become more and more willing to accomplish the task in our hand because we enjoy doing such task even with obstacles, when we do what we are doing simply out of fun.


When we have such motivation, monetary benefits are a bonus to us as we get fulfilled without it and trust me, these bonuses are the only surprises because the rate at which they will come will be embarrassing. As we were not expecting it. That way even if we know it will come, but wait a minute because I can see you dreaming big money in your account.

But it might not come in this form but can in other forms, but whichever form you will always feel fulfilled because you are doing what you love doing that gives you the satisfaction that you wanted, that alone is okay as far as your conscience is concerned. 

This type of motivation lasts longer than extrinsic type of motivation because we love what we  are doing.


While extrinsic motivation is when our desire to achieve our goals comes from the external rewards attached to the accomplishment of such goals either from  our boss, friends or relatives. This kind of motivation does not last because; when the attention is gone we have no motivation to continue. That is why goal setting is important because when this type of motivation (extrinsic )is gone; your determination to reach your end point is gone; your determination to reach your end point can support you to develop the motivation that you need along the line. 


Goals will help you get to where you want to be. In order for a goal to be effective, it must be something you tu=ruly desire beyond what you are currently capable of, but it must be within reach.


That's the much I can take today.
