If any of you have been big into gaming for more than a year, you know that the closer to Christmas we are, the better the games are usually.  There is sometimes a good game for summer and fall, but never spring.  Well, prepare to get some good ass games this spring.

# Spring just sucks
Really, the last spring I remember being fun was two years ago, and that was me playing Rainbow Six Siege because my friend got it for Christmas, so it was more of a late to the party thing.  Either way, Siege is a good game altogether and I think that spring was fun just because Siege is Siege.

Before that spring, the last one I had fun with was back when I got Xbox Live, which was 2012, and that was only because I finally got to experience Call of Duty in it's true glory: online.  Again, it was a late to the party thing.  See a theme going?

Either way, no good games come out in the spring.  It makes sense too, because all the big AAA games that came out for the holidays get their first or second DLC pack in the spring.  The hype for these big AAA games is still raging  if they are good, and the fans want more.   Not to mention, lots of people have season passes for the big games, so they feel a bit obligated to play the new DLC.  Even more with these damn season passes is they are 50$, meaning some people pay for two games with the purchase of one.  If you're on a budget, that means you'll buy less games.

# Why is this spring different?
I have three words for you, and when put together, are a god send for gaming: Xbox Game Pass.  This mother fucker is the best thing that could've happened for gaming.  It has a bunch of good games in it, and it keeps getting more.  Have you ever heard people call it the Netflix of gaming?  It's true.  Also, remember that Netflix is some people's only source of TV.

Now, the game pass alone is not the only thing making spring awesome.  PUBG came out for Xbox (lots of Xbox this spring!) and is now starting to work properly.  I know on stream and on twitter I basically burn the game at the stake, but it is actually the adrenaline shot that Xbox needed because it's a good game.  Does anyone remember how fun Rainbow Six Siege was when it came out?  PUBG is basically that but 2.0.

So, we have Game Pass and PUBG, what else is coming to make spring awesome?  Well, Sea of Thieves came out, and while it's not as good as everyone thought, it's part of Xbox Game Pass, so it'll get played by those people.  However, State of Decay 2 is coming out in May!  The first game was the king of zombie games back when it came out.  It even had a bunch of bullshit bugs and it was still fun to play.  This second one is also said to have improved a lot on the first game, so we'll see.  It's also part of game pass.

To top this section off, those are all things that came off the top of my head, meaning gamers who do a little research are most likely in for a treat.  There are big advancements in VR, and did you know God of War comes out on April 20th?  I think this will be a spring to be remembered!
