I am done with altcoins. Trading Bitcoin is easier and less risky. Been learning it for the past 6 months. I lost like 60% of my BTC with all my crazy bitcoin and dash mining, hiyps and hodling all these silly altcoins. 

Strategy is now fixed on BTC and when at it's high sell, for thether or go short 1x at bitmex and then milk it out over the months until I am completely back in cash :-)

I think I am gonna note down some ideas for a blockchain based "offline" internet. Some place where you put some search terms and find things in a systematic manner. If you want to search that specific scientific paper, or you want to know something about history or geography and you search for hard facts that don't change, then that should be the one stop shop.

Think I am going to try reddit and bitcointalk in stead of Steem. This place is ruled by a bunch of over-powered trolls with some serious personality disorders.

Done with this crazyness. Time for some peace of mind.

So you got burned by the idiots who run steemit...

In your post where you ask if this shithole can be forked... go and explore bearshares (run by a scammer) or WEKU run by a team of clueless good earthed individuals, whaleshares and the offical way of selling votes using bitshares and have beggars surrounding you.

So yes the STEEM blockchain is not only forkable in the sense that with know-how you could take the 60gb or so of spam that fills it and make a continuity of spam fork.

It has also successfully been genesied (if that's a word) many times... meaning started from scratch...

All those clones, move the spammer users there and start cross-posting creating even more spam for the poor internet.

I myself have been running a test clone with no interest in the blogging spam shit but in the wallet and monetary functionalities, and then there is the European Transparency Gateway Fund that runs a steem based chain for something UE.

STEEM is a opensource block-chain that can be easily started from scratch, now ask yourself... would it be worth the effort ?

Steemit is the company that owns this website and this front-end...

So steemit is not STEEM The interface can also be forked like busy or steempeaks did...

Actually the steem blockchain is very flexible.

BTW you should have waited for the SMT scam to sell, the same chinese in the casino video says somewhere else that you should never sell at ATL...

Thanx for the big reply! But when I suddenly saw all these scam posts from the 'devs' and 'managers' appearing, starting with the "flag poll" ---LOL--- now that I think of it, would those guys not have come up with this wordplay? --- and then Steem went under the 2017 ATL, I knew it only could get worse, and I wonder if the SMT will ever arrive at all. So no more gambling for me here.

In trading I have done also many mistakes like in other 'investments', going all in and adding to a sinking ship etc. but now I have a feeling I am slowly learning to know what I am doing and what NOT to do :-)
