Hey everyone, it's great to be back again on here. In my previous posts, I have written extensively on what exactly Digitex is and how it is supposed to function. 

I know that not everyone is all too familiar with the concept of Futures trading especially in the cryptocurrency space due to the fact that it was only just introduced to Bitcoin at around December last year. Regardless the concept has been around for several years and can be used in stocks and commodities and precious metals markets. However, this post will not be about that. I shall make the time to explain what Futures/Derivatives markets are in contrast to spot-trading on Cryptocurrency markets.

While I'd like to recommend checking out my previous posts about Digitex (which i'll include the links to at the end of this post), perhaps this is a good spot as any to explain briefly what Digitex is to those who might be reading for the first time.

##### Digitex is simply a hybrid commissions-free bitcoin and cryptocurrencies Futures exchange. 

The major talking point here is that Digitex will be the first Cryptocurrency Futures exchange without fees. Commissions and transaction fees are a really big deal in the industry and the possibility of trading cryptocurrency Futures for free has attracted the eyes of both investors and traders.

How Digitex hopes to achieve this is by utilizing a platform-native token called the DGTX, as clearly explained below in a segment of the project whitepaper:

> ***Transaction fees are eliminated on the Digitex Futures Exchange by creating an Ethereum based token, called the DGTX token, and using it as the native currency of the exchange. All profits, losses, margin requirements and account balances are denominated in DGTX tokens, meaning that traders must own DGTX tokens to participate in the commission-free, trustless markets on Digitex. This creates demand for DGTX tokens from traders, enabling the exchange to replace revenue generation from transaction fees by creating and selling a small number of new DGTX tokens each year. The amount of the additional DGTX tokens that will be minted annually to cover operational costs will be decided upon by a general community consensus. Currently, there is enough DGTX to cover maintenance and marketing costs till 2021.
 
Suffice it to say, Digitex isn't one of those projects that plan to utilize blockchain technology and cryptocurrency just for the sake of cryptocurrency without a perceived and real need. There are a real need and an active billion-dollar industry already in place and CEO Adam Todd believes that cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology will completely alter the way traders and investors interact with the financial markets, including futures contracts.

The Digitex team will be present at the Malta Blockchain Summit this November where the very first live demo of the platform will be carried presented to the world. This is pretty big news given the number of blockchain founders, CEOs, juggernauts, techies, and investors that will be present in that show. So far, there are about 161 speakers from diverse industries and projects as is seen on the [Malta Blockchain Summit website](https://maltablockchainsummit.com/speakers/). 

Malta has been recently dubbed *the blockchain island* by enthusiast, owing to a consecutive run of blockchain events, and the relocation destination of two massive crypto-assets exchanges: Binance and OKEx. Hence, I am confident that the precedence of the Malta event before the actual launch of the platform will put Digitex on the World radar and the open market out there, and make for a stronger community reception when the exchange is finally launched in December, which will in turn, greatly see to the appreciation of the token's price to reflect its added value and use.
