very good, this is very useful for us, I will try it also for catfish that is in the pond behind my house.

Chickens area nearly omnivorous so I will throw them almost anything. If they don't like it they scratch into the soil and the nutrients at least go somewhere.  Even blood from after butchering, I let it sit out for a day or 2 to get flies to lay eggs and once the maggots hatch I toss the mess to the birds. They love this little treat immensely.

@Papa-pepper my man. My favorite part is the eggs though. I like eating especially fried ones.

Waste not, want not! I think feeding the chickens the fish eggs is an excellent idea. After all, they do eat insects and fish eggs are protein.

There is a guy here on steemit from Australia that specializes in fishing for carp there and in Europe it is a game fish. I'm just grateful today for a speech to text. I had a stroke on Sunday which left me partially paralyzed on my left side and I can't type worth a s***. I've always enjoyed your posts sir please keep them coming!

I have long known what "vegetarian fed" meant. I guess I'd rather my eggs come from hens that don't eat meat rather than cannibalizing their fallen fowl. That's why the farm-raised ones are better! :)

Just a heads up:  Avoid the carp family of fish for poultry as they contain an enzyme called thiaminase that is harmful. I was informed about this by Alice Royle  alice@unionpoint.com a feed mill owner in Oregon. We feed a lot of fish for animal protein, so she was warning us to be careful.
