Jealousy is a part of human nature and we will all succumb to it from time to time. Rewarding of users on steemit is going to be disproportional, those people who have been around for a long time will likely have an easier time earning then newer users because of the network effect. Steemit is really a miniature example of the real world and much of the time the real world is not fair.  

We must all make an effort to not be jealous of others rewards, but should also realize that as humans, we will fail at that sometimes. I know that I fail at that sometimes. Hopefully we can each make up for our own failures in this regard, by trying in our own way to help our fellow steemians get rewarded for their own efforts here.

First of all I also love your slogan that is now at the end of your posts.

On the matter of money being a negative thing I have made similar observations. In fact I have felt guilty a few times about doing **too** well on this platform.

When the whale flagging started I was actually relieved to get some down votes in order to bring down the value of some of my posts. 

I  realise that it is in all of our best interests if many succeed and it is my sincere hope that many do.

I loved your post @papa-pepper 😁 Im new here on Steemit but I've noticed those things that you mentioned, like people being jealous of others, but we all should definitely strive to be better than that, we will all be happier and feel better about ourselves if we can just be happy for other people's sucess instead of comparing ourselves with others.

Answer to first question:  No.  For the most part, I'm an entertainer.  It's my job to say stupid things.  I enjoy it.  When I take a break from it, people enjoy seeing that side of me as well.  My stuff encourages people to loosen up and have a good time.  People don't have to put on an act or be on their so called best behavior when they come to visit.  They don't seem to care that I'm still in my pajamas and the house is messy.

Second question:  Nope.  Everybody poops.  I stay out of the drama, because it's not my fight.  I do that in life as well.

Third question:  Jealous?  I write all my own stuff and produce my own art.  People are jealous of me :)  *Haters gonna hate!*

For me, the blockchain nature hasn't caused me to edit myself since I'm not the type to lash out much on social media nor has the potential to earn caused me to edit myself. But I will admit that I was tempted to make a rage post when I was downvoted because my rewards were too high. While I didn't really care about the money since it was worth so little at a time, the downvoting for this reason took my reputation down 3 points. This really really felt so unfair since a reputation takes so long to build up and never once previously had I received a downvote in 7 months of regular posting.  Anyway, thanks for asking good questions!

What I like best about Steemit-- and I guess I have said this more than a few times, by now-- is that it reminds me of the "social web" of some 10-12 years ago, back when it was called "social blogging." In other words, people actually engaging in discussion over some generally thoughtful topic... more than just someone posting a meme or a one-liner and receiving 50 "LOL" and smileys in response. It's part of the reason I'm no longer on Facebook, but here instead.

The rewards have motivated to become more *disciplined* about interacting on a regular basis... I don't just "blow off" interacting, the way I might on other social media. As for the blockchain? I'm actually kinda happy stuff doesn't go away... I've probably lost some 5000 posts/articles to "dead" web sites over the past 20 years. 

Jealousy? Well... Steemit is no different from LIFE in the sense that it's sometimes a reflection of the old truism "It's not what you DO, but who you KNOW."

I actually embody the quote i read from your post ever since I read them. Nowadays when I find myself idly unlocking my phone to go to "those sites" I tell myself "I should be on eSteem curating post and talking to people there, there's no benefit here"<br>
Of course, with good free stuff comes the bad smelly scavengers, some people just cant comprehend the idea of them not taking it all for themselves. The cryptocurrency community is filled with them. I was once part of the Dogecoin community and because of the lack of check and balance, it all turns to sh*t now by the hands of these people, those who prey on the upbeat cheerful givers and suck them dry, while chasing away new adopters by accusing them exactly that (I realized I'm gonna get some bashing soon now by these very same people).

But i believe Steemit is prepared for this. the Devs are constantly upgrading the code behind the blockchain (thats why we're far from Version 1.0). and the Community is always pushing put ideas and measures of check and balance.<br>
I'll be arming myself with more knowledge and instances of the dark side of Steemit (just read about identity theft, the nerves of some people have to scam money). And who knows with the knowledge we can shine light into the darkness and chase it away.

I was just looking at the stream of comments at steemviz.com the other day, and noticing how unceasingly nice they all were. I seriously doubt you would see the same with a stream of all tweets, reddit comments or Facebook comments.

If that's an effect of money, it is only bringing online a bit closer to our interactions in the real world. Most online spaces seem perversely un-nice, where emotional distance allows us to act in ways we wouldn't in person.

I am more worried about the issue of extrinsic vs. intrinsic motivations. Steem plays with extrinsic motivations and there are a whole host of problems with that. However economics in general seems heavily tied to extrinsic motivations, and fixing the broken economics of the internet seems like it will inevitably involve them, I'm not sure how that can be avoided, so it's just something I feel forced to accept.

Actually that may be a reason for "trolls" to *come* and not stop trolling. It is shown in several studies that those who want a fight prefer to have a name, because they want to say **I...** in that way. 
That may alos be the reason why hooligans always fight in groups and are very happy if the TV reports about them.

I am afraid that also does not work out. People don't measure their wealth or income in absolute terms but in relative. That is the reason why people get broke when they buy bigger-then-needed houses and 3 new cars for 2 people - to keep up with the Joneses as it is said in the US.

Jealous? No. As a new user, I would say that I am intrigued, inspired and occasionally confused. I have found that although there are diverse interests and opinions, the community is generally very supportive and friendly. That's the best of both worlds, but seems to be a rare thing these days. So as much as I am interested in learning and earning through Steemit, it's really the unique community that I enjoy the most.

For me the money to be earned does not affect the way I post on Steemit.
Neither do I get jealous when others earn more than me.

I'd like to earn more, but I didn't come here for the money (I know 'm a bit odd like that). If I earned nothing from here on in, I'd be cool with that. If  earned squillions from here on in, I'd be super cool with that ;-)

I am me, and  conduct myself in a way that makes *me* happy -the blockchain and money have no bearing on my personality.

Matter over Spirit or Spirit over Matter will drive your Destiny.
It is the influence of objects(money) that makes Steemit a Hybrid Eco-Society, expressing the mechanisms of a possible myriad of small equalitarian groups and people, but mediated by objects(possessions) that are still a hierarchic pyramid in all society.
Steemit can be a model of the future in the blockchain for a more just society because for me the real meaning of Justice is Equality and not the point of view of the Power as it is today.
