MY FIRST "IDIOT CUT"

Certain "dangers" come with hunting. When arrows or bullets start flying through the air, that should be expected. Since it's deer hunting season, I've been spending more time in the woods lately.

Last night, after that photo above was taken, I came back from deer hunting empty-handed and jumped into the bathtub. Not long afterward my oldest son shouted to me that he had just seen a deer outside. Soon, I was out of the tub and back outside. Thankfully, the deer never moved and I was able to take the shot that I wanted to. Unfortunately, my head was too close to the scope when I pulled the trigger, and I got my first "idiot cut." It's been known to happen to the best of us... *and apparently the rest of us.* Hopefully it'll be my last.

I would be happy for you to remove some of the herds we have roam through our farm. Probably doesn't help I have spent brewing grain spread everywhere. They can smell the grain from miles away. Every morning I wake up to see at least a few munching away less than 100 feet from the house. Things are as bad as pigeons or turkeys.
