I want to invite you, my dear brother and reader, for a brief moment you can imagine the figure of a shepherd as such and as the psalmist David narrates in Psalm 23

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

<div class="text-justify"><p>This wandering figure is the super hero of his sheep, he protects them, guides them, feeds them, comforts them and makes them rest. On the other hand the sheep is a very fragile animal, clumsy and distracted, does not discern the danger in many occasions this leads him to move away from the shepherd and his family or fold.</p></div>

The staff is extremely useful as a tool to deal with those stubborn and clumsy sheep, who make the decision to live their own experience of feeling what it is to jump into the void or slip between the ravines.

<div class="text-justify"><p>Perhaps many of us today walk around with a broken leg, confusing the protection of God with some heavenly punishment, reneging on the Good Shepherd, lamenting the treatment he has given us, but many do not realize that he does it to protect us and because his love that motivates him because our stubbornness and distraction can lead us to a not very pleasant end.</p></div>

If you are a sheep of the Lord He will not allow you to go out and go to the dangerous places and cliffs, so that you will not perish because of your stubbornness in the valleys of the shadow of death.
