to another Tarot Tuesday. As always I connect into my guidance and ask for a message that is appropriate and expansive. Three cards is the number that I draw, nice and simple. I let my intuition do the work, and the story it weaves its self. The projection is for this coming week, until next Tuesday/Wednesday.

# King of Cups - The Wise Master
We could call this spread the deep blue sea, it’s a lot more water based than last week, where we were focussed on earth and fire. The King of Cups handles emotions in a mature responsible way, this archetype deals with guides, mentors, and all kinds of people who work with the emotions of themselves and others. Because he is a king the emphasis is on control and perspective when working with subtleties and emotions.
__We can look at the other court cards in the cups suit to contrast the King’s style. The Page is playful and fun loving and the knight is intense and singleminded, and a bit romantic. The queen is deep connection to the subconscious and the universe, she is a channel and seldom makes a call about anything. When we reach the king he has an element of the queens sensitivity to the universe, yet retains the king-like quality of logic and distance. It’s an interesting combination, and it can be a very useful way of being.__
We can think about these qualities in particular when working with emotions in the next week, taking a mature approach might be the best option. This means not blaming anyone, and not playing the usual games. It means looking at things as they are, and then just telling it like it is. Be a little detached, and be the one who is brave enough to address the underlying emotional tensions. Treat the emotions with respect, but also treat them like objects that will come and go in the end just like everything else.
__This is emotional maturity, honouring what we feel then letting go and not writing a story about it. Maturity is being able to have a dialogue about how we feel, without any judgements.__
# The Lovers - A Grown Up Relationship, Feeling Out Life
With the King setting the tone for the reading we move through to the ‘meat’ in the middle of the sandwich. It’s the lovers, and it’s all about real connection, sexuality, and also our ability to make decisions.
__In the traditional depictions of ‘The Lovers’ we see a scene where a young man is choosing between his mother and a young woman to take as his lover. The essential metaphor is about having to choose one thing or the other. Will it be the safety of home, or the excitement of a new life? In the Rider Waite decks, the picture show Adam and Eve and the two trees - the tree of life and the tree of knowledge. It’s the same thing, we have to choose either eternal life or the knowledge of life and death. We have to make a decision and stand by it regardless of the consequences. You steer your own life you beautiful thing you.__
Those metaphors might be a little obscure so let me break it down for you. It’s about risking the biscuit and taking a chance, our basic sexual drive and our need to relate takes us out into the world to interact with others. Up until the number 6 card (The Lovers), the journey takes us through the archetypes of family and society (the 1-5 cards). When we reach the six, we reverberate with that number and feel a big connection reaching out beyond all of the rules we have been following so far.
__It goes beyond whether or not you are going to take a chance on a new lover, it’s about if you are willing to take a chance on life itself. Love means the heart, and when we let go and open up to what our heart tells us - it often tells us to take a risk that goes against all logic. Can we trust life enough to follow love and life? It might be exactly what you need even if it hurts like hell, the path forks out and we will never know what the other path led to. We don’t need to though, it’s just the empty speculation of the mind.__
The heart driven life takes us deeper and deeper into a life based on trust, and living spontaneously in the moment. Pay attention and make the changes and adjustments each day that feel right, it need not be a drastic thing.
# The Moon - What Lies Beneath? What Are You Afraid Of?
This is a very interesting card to have in the final position, the basic suggestion is that we just don’t know what will happen. The moon speaks a lot about mystery and illusion, and as life continually tricks us we slowly come to terms with existences slippery nature. This whole play of Maya (our material plane) may not be essentially true - but in it’s illusory nature it gives us a space to find our own truth moment to moment.
__With the King lending his energy to this message the suggestion is to adopt a mature approach. We neither condemn or believe the illusions we move through, we calmly acknowledge each one and then move on.__
There’s a deeper implication here to do with the fear and confusion of the moon, and the decision implied by the central lovers card. As conscious explorers building a New Earth based on unity and compassion we have a fundamental decision - will we indulge in this fear and confusion? On the crypto scene we call it FUD - fear, uncertainty, and doubt. I think that metaphor lends itself well to our modes of consciousness as well.
Using the maturity of the King there is only one option that has integrity, and that is not to indulge in the fear and confusion so often associated with awakening and expansion of perception. That can definitely be an initial stage as our assumptions get broken leaving us feeling vulnerable and open, the important next stage is stabilizing and integrating.
> In my experiential journey I have come to learn a lot of things about life, including how our societies are engineered in a way that definitely doesn’t have our well being in mind. How do we respond to such bomb shells? Shock? Anger? These could definitely be justified, but we need to perceive things even deeper and act with wisdom.
__To yell and scream about the injustice is to just partake in that consciousness of instability. The truly wise one disregards such ill contemplations and focusses on their own consciousness of stability and joyfulness. This is the approach of the King, he’s seen how this game works and focuses first on integrity - being mindful of volatile emotions and energy, that could potentially unbalance our peaceful, radiant state. It’s that very state which is our ultimate gift to humanity, and it’s our individual decision to maintain it even in the face of overwhelming uncertainty.__
If you ask anyone who is really on this path, they will probably report the same thing. It all comes back to embodying the highest vibration possible, and that’s all that there is to this whole thing. It’s not complicated at all.
# B-Side Alternate Reading, Poetic & Non Linear
The lovers is a fork in the road, it is a portal. A simple decision which pulls you deeper into the realm of not knowing. Go there, and be that not knowing. Dive into the depths of the shadows of your mind. You are invincible even if you don’t know it. Face your doppelganger and enter the nether realm to embrace the dark in your soul. The more we deny our own darkness, the more we strengthen its separate identity. It’s not seperate, it is a part of us that awaits our quiet acknowledgement. Buried deep beneath our rational description of everything is a realm of unexpressed feelings and impressions. These have come from long forgotten times of childhood, alternate lives, alternate dimensions. This is the underworld and this week is the time to really go there.
__I commend you warrior, for every sorcerer must first become a warrior. Every mage must first face his own fear and his own death in order to see anything at all. In uncertainty is born the certainty of our own power to illuminate even the darkest aspects of life. Sat Nam (we are the truth).__
