<h5>Since the [last update](https://steemit.com/gaming/@playfulfoodie/guild-wars-2-world-vs-world-updates) of the MMO *Guild Wars 2*, a new legendary backpack is available. This time, it's the World vs World players who are the lucky ones.</h5>

I told you about the [latest update](https://steemit.com/gaming/@playfulfoodie/guild-wars-2-world-vs-world-updates) and I also wrote about [my first impressions](https://steemit.com/gaming/@playfulfoodie/guild-wars-2-wvw-update-first-impressions). What I didn't tell you yet (and what I didn't know at first) was how to get the new legendary backpack. That's what this article will be all about.

Since the last update, players can gather WvW Skirmish Claim Tickets. Players who already had some claim tickets from previous WvW tournaments (and didn't spend them) will see they already own some of these new tickets. For the rest of us, they are attainable simply by playing WvW. How this works exactly, you can read in my post about the update.

Now these claim tickets are important. They are the most important thing you need for your new backpack. You need a *lot* of them. Due to the way you get them, there is currently a maximum amount of 175 you can gather per week and you need to play WvW a lot to even get to that amount. From what I've read in guild chats so far, you'll need around 17 weeks of gathering the maximum amount, before you have enough to create your backpack.

__*So what do you need?*__

You create your backpack in the mystic forge. You need the following four items for this:
- Gift of Fortune
- Warcry
- Gift of Warfare
- Gift of Conquering

__Gift of Fortune__
This item is created by adding the following items to the mystic forge:
- 77 Mystic Clovers
- 250 Globs of Ectoplasm
- Gift of Might (Obtained by mystic forging 250 of each: Vicious Fang, Armored Scale, Vicious Claw, Ancient Bone)
- Gift of Magic (Obtained by mystic forging 250 of each: Vial of Powerful Blood, Powerful Venom Sac, Elaborate Totem, Pile of Crystalline Dust)

__Warcry__
This item is created by adding all four of the new backpacks, obtainable in WvW, to the mystic forge. All four of them require an increasing amount of claim tickets to purchase.
- Recruit's Wings of War
- Soldier's Wings of War
- General's Wings of War
- Commander's Wings of War

__Gift of Warfare__
This item is created by adding the following items to the mystic forge:
- Mystic Essence of Strategy (Obtained by mystic forging: 20 Vials of Powerful Blood, 50 Vials of Potent blood, 250 Piles of Bloodstone Dust, 1 Essence of Strategy (Costs: 1000 Badges of Honor))
- Mystic Essence of Animosity (Obtained by mystic forging: 20 Ancient Bones, 50 Large Bones, 250 Empyreal Fragments, 1 Essence of Animosity (Costs: 500 Proofs of Heroics))
- Mystic Essence of Carnage (Obtained by mystic forging: 20 Armored Scales, 50 Large Scales, 250 Dragonite Ore, 1 Essence of Carnage (Costs: 500 Memories of Battle))
- Mystic Essence of Annihilation (Obtained by mystic forging: 20 Vicious Claws, 50 Large Claws, 10 Globes of Dark Matter, 1 Essence of Annihilation (Costs: 350 WvW Skirmish Claim Tickets))

__Gift of Conquering__
This item is created by adding the following items to the mystic forge:
- 1 Legendary Spike (Random drop while playing WvW)
- 4 Gifts of Battle (Obtainable through the Gift of Battle Item Reward Track)
- 250 Memories of Battle
- 2 Vision Crystals

*__Closing statement__*
As you can see, you're going to need to gather a *lot* of items for this. Also, you might not like the looks of this backpack (I sure don't). In that case, you'll still want it for the legendary stats. You can always use a different skin (or hide the backpack completely).
