@positive I am not sure if this is a compete idea yet, and need to understand a little more on what your thoughts are on leveraging factorial modeling. What *I* am interpreting is that James makes a post, Cathleen and Freddy then see that lost and upvote it, which in turn means Tim, Bob, Dave, etc... see the Cathleen and Freddy upvotes and upvote, so on and so forth. 

First and foremost, what is the mechanism that notifies this chain of votes? None that I see currently available. Second, the limitation to this model is on the order of users that exist in this ecosystem. In a foot race, a factorial always wins. Is it really plausible to assume minnows would always vote when notified?

Why do i have the feeling youre working on the same thing I am.  that said, it doesnt have to be a lottery.  youre not taking into account that votes can be cast multiple times.  and recharge.  Its rough, but i am going to have a power brokerage up this weekend.

My idea is a flat out brokerage.  I don't even intend to automate it, at least not at first...  theres a simpler way.  "minnow a" wants votes, so he lists his post in a pool... all the other minnows (and some non minnows) do the same.  He gets votes back from the pool porportionally to the votes he gives to it.    thats the vote exchange part..  Im also planning to try to attract advertisers for actually selling up-votes.   The thing is for most, we can pay upvoters with votes.  It doesnt have to be linear, it can be a web.
