Can you give a gift to everyone that you meet? Yes, you can, just give them the gift of a smile in your daily interactions. This will not take a lot of time and effort, but your smile can make a world of difference to them. 

Taking this one step further, we can put a smile on other people. It is not as difficult as you think. Just try one or more of these seven methods to make them grin.

1. Give someone a book to read that will inspire them. It will make you feel wonderful, and reading the book will affect the individual, making them think of you every time they read it.

2. Write a note of encouragement to someone who needs it. Handwritten messages intended to encourage rather than thank someone are uncommon. This adds to the value of handwritten notes.

3. Take a friend to lunch or invite her to supper at your house. You'll come to know each other even more. If you want to be more daring, arrange a party for numerous of your pals and make a lot of people happy.

4. Offer to look after a friend's or relative's children for a day or evening. If you've ever been a parent, you understand the significance of having a few hours of "adult time" without having to worry about the kids. 

5. Express gratitude to everyone who has helped you over the day. The list of people with whom you will come into contact is infinite. 

6. Take dinner to someone you know who is sick or going through a difficult period. We've all been sick and know that getting out of bed is the last thing on your mind. There are times when the going is tough and it is difficult to do all of the daily tasks. You can be of great assistance by bringing a delectable lunch.

7. Support your local church or charity by volunteering your time. Every minute you devote to a church or charity will bring a smile to many people's faces.
