**ABSOLUTE SURRENDER**

_Dear Steemians in my earlier post today I talked about "Self Crucifixion" as one on the necessary qualities of a dedicated servant of Jesus Christ and vessel of honour._
**Next to self crucifixion is this important requirement of absolute surrender. To effectively be this vessel of honour one must make sure that there be nothing e is in himself or has in his possession that would at any time constitute a roadblock to God’s will and purpose for his life. He must, therefore, make an absolute surrender of all to God**.
All our members in their entirety must be presented to God, a living sacrifice, for His service, at His will, and for His glory. Our lives must be surrendered to God, to live or die at His will or pleasure. Our natural fitness should be sanctified unto God for His best use and to His glory.
Our talents must be wholly set apart and given up to God for His best use and to His glory. Our intellects should be laid at God’s altar of sacrifice and used at His will and for His glory. Our time and money (not the tenth, but the whole) should be wholly sanctified and placed in God’s hand for His best use and to His glory.
We are often deluded into thinking that we know how best to utilize these resources. Consequently we engage in a wasteful expenditure of them which at their best gain us but vanity. This many Christians will realize to their utter dismay at the judgement seat of Christ. All that we are and have, are best in the hand of the all-wise and omnipotent God. Let us unconditionally surrender all to Him.

Then with our all in His hand, and He in full control of all there would be nothing in us nor in our possession that would be in conflict with His supreme will in our lives. His authority over us would be absolute. Thus could we be a vessel of honour indeed, sanctified and meet for the Master’s use and prepared unto every good work.

Let Thy blessing fall on me._

Trust and obey, for there's no other way

The last requirement, but not the least, we would like to mention here is humble and prompt obedience to God’s commands. By this, I mean the willingness to carry out God’s instructions without questions. This is necessary, because except we be willing to let down our nets at God’s command, even after a futile, wearisome, all-night toil, we would not be able to enclose a multitude of fishes. This means we cannot be effective instruments in God’s hand.
This humble and prompt obedience needs an ear inclined to hear the voice of God, lest He calls or commands in vain. It needs an understanding heart to perceive and do just what He asks us to do, and in the way He wants it done.
Lest we fall prey to the devil or the flesh who would take advantage of our inclination to hear God’s voice and carry out His orders, we must be filled with the Holy Spirit. With the Spirit of God dwelling in us in all His divine fullness, we can be sure never to miss the voice of God nor mistake another for it.
For the Spirit perfectly distinguishes voices. The voice of the Lord never again. He is looking for faithful men and women through whom He would channel His blessings. Are you one of such? Yield to Him today. Yield completely. And neither in time nor eternity would you regret it. In this way you will be saying with other faithfuls
