I WILL CONTINUE TO WRITE

Great Minds,
Recently, there is this dropping zeal, lost of enthusiasm to continue steeming and write posts. Without giving any reason virtually all steemians can link it to the downward trend in the price of steem and steem dollar. Well that's true, to some point it was almost discouraging, a situation where you squeeze out time to create a post and behold you have little or no upvote and some times you are lucky to get upvotes. Unfortunately, the little SBD you earned are drained up before payout due to continuous price drop. For instance, you make a post and earned $3 SBD and before payout it is reduced yo $1.2 SBD.

Looking at the scenario above, it is quite frustrating coupled with the very poor exchange rate at the now. Few steemians I chatted with were already expressing frustration and wished to exit Steemit. Some asked me if there is still hope and whether I will continue.

Yes I will continue to steem, I will continue to give it my best to come up with creative writing and seek for better ways to improve steem and Steemit. I am a hardened believer of Steemit platform, I have said it without number that Steemit so far has made a a whole lot of positive impact in me. My writing skills has improved, social and communication wise I am better of. I made a lot of friends both within my country and outside. I have information at my finger tip now. It is Steemit that made me know about cryptocurrency and other online genuine business I now do to earn some cash.

So if you ask me again and again, I will still say that Steemit is more than the immediate money made from sale of SBD gotten from post. Besides it is still promising as the price will not remain this way or continue to go down.

Next time you think of quitting look at it wholesomely, consider the long term gain.

What I rather do no and advice other minnows like me to do is to acquire SBD and steem now. Stock it now and use this opportunity to grow your steem power since it is cheap now. And I tell you you will be glad you do with time.

You're right, everything seems to collapse and it gets us discouraged but that's simply not enough reason to quit steemit. It will rise again

It’s good to hear a positive voice. For the fortunate ones, like you and me, who have discovered the real value of the platform is in the community, there is no question about quitting.

Just like you, I’ve learned so much here, made friends and opened up. I wouldn’t trade that for the world.

The problem with a lot of people on SteemIt is that they are unknown with how crypto markets work. What goes down, must come up again at one point. Do you are completely right when you say this is a perfect time to load up on Steem.

Thanks @princeso for this post! I find the experiences of a longtime Steemit users helpful- they experienced many drops in price but continued to post on Steemit which very often turned out good for them. Besides, Steemit creates many more opportunites than earning Steem, for example I've met here some amazing people, learnt here a great deal of new skills and also  Steemit has helped me to open up with my art. It's good to hear that you're planning to continue to write!
