<p>The meeting point between you and God is his word. God's word will send pressure out of your life. Life is a big burden when there no progress. But God says in Proverbs 4:18. </p>
<blockquote>"But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day". </blockquote>
<p>To find purpose for living is not enough, there are things you must add to it in order for it to produce. For instance, tireless pursuit (persistence) is very crucial to fulfilling purpose. </p>
<p>Persistence is refusing to give up, until you go up and stay up permanently. No matter your vision or purpose you must pursue it to get there. Those who keep going, get there. You must say to yourself "No matter the challenge or issue, I must get there and get it". Never, never, never give up, no matter what. </p>
<p>Remember "Winners never quit; and quitters never win". A sculptor was once asked how he was able to bring out his beautiful statue out of the rugged wood; and he said, "I simply kept at it". Rome they say, is never built in a day; if you have found purpose, keep doing it and you will soon realize it. In Isaiah 66:7-8, scripture says, </p>
<blockquote>"Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child. Who had heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children".</blockquote>
<p>Patience does not connote slowness or laziness. Every precious thing takes time, hit and run people never make much out of life, but hit and stick people do. It is not the fifty-fifth blow of a sledge hammer against a wall that brings it down, rather it is the cumulative effect of all the blows right from the first one. </p>
<p>Everything in God's kingdom begins with a seed and grow to become an harvest. Success is not luck, it is locating your purpose and patiently pursuing it. In Galatians 6:9, scripture says, </p>
<blockquote>"And let us not be weary in well doing for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not". </blockquote>
<p>Joseph became a ruler in Egypt by persistently pursuing his dream despite all the challenges he went through. Destiny delivers in phases, results in life deliver in phases; persistence is what takes you from one phase to the other. No matter what you are passing through now, don't give up, because God has not given up on you. In Luke 8:5, scripture says, </p>
<blockquote>"But that on the good ground are they which... bring forth fruit with patience". </blockquote>
<p>The wisdom for fruitfulness is patience. Firstly you must be persistent, then be patient. It is better to be slow and steady than to be fast and crash. God will not deny you your portion when it is your time. The bible says, "The LORD will command his goodness in the day time". Don't go and multiply your problems by consulting witch-doctor, but wait for God and he will bring your desired change. Scripture says in Job 14:14, </p>
<blockquote>"...all the days of my life will I wait, till my change come". </blockquote>
<p>Understand the mystery of appointed time, what God has in plan for you, no devil can stop it. God made a promise to Abraham, but everything in his life was contrary to the promise, yet Abraham waited patiently and eventually obtained the promise. Scripture enjoins us in Hebrews 6:12 </p>
<blockquote>"That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises". </blockquote>
<p>Don't be lazy in your patience, the bible says </p>
<blockquote>"In your patience, posses ye your souls" - Luke 21:19.</blockquote>
<p><strong>What Are The Signs And Signals of Impatience?</strong></p>
<p><strong>1. Fear:</strong> A sister in the church out of fear of getting old can get married to an unbeliever out of impatience. The destiny of King Soul was destroyed by impatience coming out of fear. The prophet Samuel told him, "You are foolish! What you fear will come upon you" - Job 4:25. Nothing paralyses sound mind like fear. Scripture says, </p>
<blockquote>"We have not receive the spirit of fear... but of sound mind". </blockquote>
<p>Fear is deadly, desolation and destruction are the companions of fear. When fear knocks the door of your heart, send faith to open it. Every time Satan sends fear into your heart, open your mouth against him and rebuke him. Remember a closed mouth is a closed destiny. Fear is not psychology, fear is a spirit which must be rebuked every time you sense it. The cure for fear is the word of God and also to open your mouth against it. </p>
<p><strong>2. Broken Focus:</strong> People with broken focus change their plans anyhow; they abandon God's direction to distinction in life and follow their own that leads to destruction. If you see a man that is always changing plans, you have seen a man with a broken focus, they are "rolling stone that gathers no moss". People that abandon God's will, look wise initially but later regret it as they see their foolishness.</p>
<p><strong>3. Comparison:</strong> One of the things that characterize people that are impatient is the plague of comparison. Even though we all have glorious future in Christ, we have different calendar. Hence there are bases for comparison. Scripture says in 2 Corinthians 10:12, </p>
<blockquote>"For we dare not make of ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves; but they measuring themselves by themselves and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise".</blockquote>
<p><strong>4. Offenses:</strong> People with impatience many times become offended in God. Especially because of one thing or the other they want God to do and is not yet done. They first express their offense by action and eventually voice it out. But no matter what, it is very dangerous to come to a point where God offends you.</p>
<p><strong>What Should You Do In Your Moments of Impatience?</strong></p>
<p><strong>Resist the spirit:</strong> Impatience is of the devil, resist it vehemently. In 1 Peter 5:8 and James 4:7 scripture says we should resist the devil and he will flee from us. </p>
<p><strong>Posses your soul:</strong> That means check if you are still in God. Tell yourself, no mater what, heaven is still may ultimate. Maintain your holiness and righteousness virtue before God - Luke 21:19. Confess the faithfulness of God to yourself: Say things like "God has helped me before, he will help me again", "God is too faithful to fail, he saw me through schooling, he will help me to secure a job". "If he helped me to get married, he will give the fruit of the womb also" etc. Seek counsel, where you feel you can not control it any longer, then seek godly counsel from men of God you have confidence in, - Proverbs 11:14. </p>
<p>Isaac was a good example of a persistent man. He dug a well, the enemy took it, he dug again and again, until he wearied out his enemies and got to his rehoboth where God made room for him. As you refuse to give up, God will show up and take you to your own rehoboth. Know that your labor in the Lord is not in-vain - 1 Corinthians 15:58.</p>
