# During my whole childhood I was doing every kind of sports activities. 
My first real sports experience was Judo.
I started doing Judo when I was 6-7 years old and did it for 3-4 years. 
My achievements: 
* Greenbelt, two stripes 
* A lot of 2nd places
* Only 1st place.

However, we got a new coach after three years, and we couldn't get along with him. Most of the group ended up with a new sport; almost everyone stopped Judo.

# Ice Hockey

I took a smaller break after ending my Judo career and was looking for a new activity. I always preferred winter sports over summer sports, and I wasn't bad at skating. My dad also like Ice Hockey. However, he never had a chance to play it during his childhood. Probably this is the reason why he supported me in this choice no matter what. <p>

The first training was horrible for me. I was so shy; I didn't even want to enter the ice. Somehow they talked me into it, and I finished the training. I can't recall if I liked it at the beginning, but I ended up doing it for few years. After weeks I was really into it, especially when I made new friends there.

There were kids with 2-5 years of Ice Hockey experience in the team, so I had no chance of getting in the lineup for the league in the first year. Surprisingly, I made it to the 3rd line after a year of hard work and training.
My first season wasn't great, but after that season I made it to our first line. I became a fix member of our first​ line as a Right-Defenseman. My original position was Left-Wing, but I felt comfortable with every role. (Besides goalkeeper, because I never tried it.)
###### (I thought long hair was cool. It was horrible. I couldn't see because of it sometimes, and keeping it clean was just too much effort. I was 11-13 that time, but never again.)

# End of Ice Hockey and my sports career.
I would say I was good in Ice Hockey; I was even invited to the national team qualifications, twice. 
Unfortunately, my knees got injured from overcharging and running a lot on asphalt. My cartilages in both my knees were damaged, and I couldn't do any sports activities after that.

##### As you could expect I started gaining weight as I stopped the stopping intense training from one day to another.
My average week contained 4 training on the ice and at least 5 off the ice and one or two matches each week.
On ice training were 50 minutes long or 1:40 hours. Off the ice, training was 1 hour or 2 hours long. It depends if it was in the gym or another kind of training.

# But it's finally over! 
I want to change my life, ​and ​I feel motivated enough to do it.

A few days ago, I started doing the __5000 squats / 1000 push ups__ challenge​. I'm doing good so far. For the squats, ​I'm also using 5-10kg bonus weight, because the workout is only good if it hurts.

# I don't want to overcharge myself again. 
##### But I'm doing kettlebell training besides​ the squats and the push-up​ challenge and I'm also running with Maya (my Husky) each day.

### I used to run 4km under 17 minutes when I was an Ice Hockey player, but with my knees, I'm fine with this time.

# I lost a bit over 5kg in the last few weeks, and I do not ​plan to stop for a moment.
I got a lot of motivation even from Steemit and made me think it's time to change.

# The next chapter hopefully will be me as a sled-dog racer.
