Given that I had 131 STEEM on exchanges and the current markets are falling apart, I also had about $20 SBD as well, I wanted to get into a good trade so I can increase my holdings. By the time I started to think that things were looking a lot better than today. In a kind of desperate way to lock myself from trading where I could potentially take a huge loss I wanted to power up and hopefully will still get more holdings when the time comes and I'll be able to get in better trades. I noticed that my voting power and impact has significantly reduced so I also wanted to enjoy the possible benefit of curating while some people are around, probably some will go dormant again and so curating will be a great deal in the meantime when no body is really posting or voting and hopefully being able to stack some of the newer created tokens from tribes will be a smarter investing and that's why I wanted to be able to hold more #STEEM so in a way I'll be able to trade tokens internally using steem-engine.
