Do you know what the first step is to getting through the pain of a relationship breakup? You have to help him see how wonderful you really are by the time you two are ready to get back together. It's time to stand up for yourself by making sure you're on your own terms. A couple of things you can do to help make him feel more secure about you are by taking responsibility for your behavior and maintaining your dignity throughout.
And also, he's going to think about you more when he looks at the mirror. So that's nice. If your partner can't take the control of his emotions, the only thing that he can do is take the control of you. You are the one in control here.
