This article is a contribution post containing some suggestion for Unit Converter Ultimate, an open source application on android.

A simple and easy-to-use unit converter to handle any conversion you'll ever need.

The beautiful Material Design user interface allows for quick and easy conversions from a number in one unit to another. The goal is to keep it simple - you won't be overwhelmed with an excess of options and settings, allowing you to perform your desired conversion as quickly as possible. Perfect for work, school or in the kitchen.

Available unit conversions include:
- Currency (US dollar, CDN dollar, pound, peso, etc)
- Temperature (celsius, fahrenheit, kelvin, etc)
- Length (kilometer, miles, meter, yard, feet, etc)
- Mass/Weight (kilogram, pound, ounce, ton, stone, etc)
- Speed (km/h, mph, knot, etc)
- Area (square kilometer, square mile, hectare, acre, etc)
- Cooking Volume (teaspoon, tablespoon, cup, pint, quart, ounce, etc)
- Pressure (kilopascal, bar, PSI, etc)
- Power (watt, kilowatt, horsepower, etc)
- Energy (joule, calorie, BTU, etc)
- Time (year, month, day, hour, second, etc)
- Fuel Consumption (miles per gallon, liters per 100km, etc)
- Digital Storage (bit, byte, megabytes, gigabytes, etc)

# Component

The part/component of the said application which I wanted to have some modification is on its " ***conversion units of length*** ". I tried to convert kilometer to decimeter using the said application however I found out that " ***the unit decimeter was nowhere to found*** ". Basically, I can convert kilometer to decimeter manually using a paper, calculator and a pen, but I just wanted to add the said unit of conversion to the said application since I find the application a very useful tool for converting of units.  In addition, " ***decimeter is one of the basic units in the conversion of length so I was wondering why it was not included on the said application*** ". Aside from that, it would be better if the application itself would provide the satisfaction needed by its users.

# Proposal/Suggestion

In order to solve the stated problem above, I was able to find an alternative way. Thus, this suggestion has been made. The suggestion would be to  " ***ADD DECIMETER  INTO THE UNIT CONVERSIONS OF LENGTH*** ". To make this suggestion happen, the developer of this application should restructure the application and add the additional unit of length which is the decimeter. Just as what I have observed, this suggestion would be a big help for the development of the application since if this will be implemented, it will be beneficial to both users and developers.

The decimetre (SI symbol dm) is one of the basic unit of length in the metric system, equal to one tenth of a metre (the International System of Units base unit of length), ten centimetres or 1/0.254 (approximately 3.93700787) inches. The c is pronounced /s/, unlike in decametre. The common non-SI metric unit of volume, the litre, is defined as one cubic decimetre (however, from 1901 to 1964, there was a slight difference between the two due to the litre being defined with respect to the kilogram rather than the metre).

# Benefits

<p></p>

♣ Since additional unit of length to convert will be added to the said application, it will become more useful especially to the users who are having difficulties in converting such units of length.
♣ It will improve, restructure and will make the application more efficient and reliable. 
♣ The number of this application's users will grow and also, the application will be updated.
♣ New development for the said application on its feature or layout.
♣ It would beneficial to both user and developer in the sense that once this suggestion has been implemented, demand on this application will increase together with its user and greater opportunity for the developer.
