## Celebrate the win!
I can't remember who told me this or where I read it but I do know I have applied this relentlessly ever since. Today I want to tell you how well it works. And how necessary it is for you to do it too.

We were not made to carry on forever. Rest is crucial. The right rhythm in your life is important. Taking the time to re-charge your batteries is vital. __Celebrating the win__ can be another arrow in your quiver that will strengthen and energize you.

Whenever you complete a task, you need to take a moment to enjoy the fact that it is done. The bigger the task, project or victory, the bigger your celebration needs to be. As you savour the moment you will be enthused for the next task or the next battle.

There are three easy steps.
1. __Define the win.__ (If you do not know what a win is, how will you know when you have won?)
1. __Recognize the moment when you have accomplished something.__
1. __Take a moment to celebrate.__

Something like three months ago I started publishing __Monday Motivation__. I had no idea how long it would last but the first couple of weeks went well. Then I thought it would be cool to do this for 52 weeks - a whole year. Even said in one of my posts that my goal is 52.

I am inspired by something like the [5min Freewrite](https://steemit.com/freewrite/@mariannewest/day-367-5-minute-freewrite-monday-prompt-face-mask) hosted by @mariannewest. They celebrated a whole year of this challenge this past week. Imagine that! 365 posts, not just 52. But this morning I was struggling to find an idea for today's __Monday Motivation__ and I started wondering if I would ever get to 52.

So here is what I did. I collected all the __Monday Motivation__ posts I had already made and discovered that I have already done 13! _It must be the longest series I have ever published/written/created._ For a moment I merely savoured this accomplishment. And before I knew it, I had several ideas for new posts. The next couple of weeks are covered!

Here are my 13 previous __Monday Motivation__ posts. I encourage you to make sure that you celebrate every win. Not just when you are tired. Make it a discipline. Boost your confidence. Energize yourself before you are depleted.
