Following Nintendo's lead, with their massively successful NES and SNES Classic consoles that bundle 20+ games into a tiny replica of the original system, Sony just announced that they're doing the same with the original Playstation.

The Playstation Classic will launch on December 3rd at a price of $99.99 and come loaded with 20 titles.  So far, the only announced games are:

- Final Fantasy VII
- Jumping Flash
- Ridge Racer Type 4
- Tekken 3
- Wild Arms

The console itself is roughly half the size of the original system and will connect to modern TVs via HDMI.  It comes packaged with two controllers, however photos show these to be replicas of the launch PS1 controllers rather than the more advanced DualShock controllers, which may impact what games will be brought to the console.

So what do you think about this news?  Does the system appeal to you?  What games do you hope are in the 15 that yet have to be revealed?  Personally, I'm hoping for titles like *Medievil, Einhander, Silent Hill, Metal Gear Solid, Symphony of the Night, Ape Escape* and *Resident Evil 2*.
