I really like Raffly Kande's voice and feeling in singing. The message is wrapped in beautiful poetry full of advice about life. **Rafly** is a musician from **Aceh** who has a band called **Kande** which means light, besides that he also has a solo career and has released more than 3 albums including Syiar dan Syair, Syiar dan Syiar 2, Syiar dan Syair 3 and Gisa Bak Punca.

><b>`Rafly Kande was born in Samadua, South Aceh on August 5, 1967, comes from a farming family. At the time of junior high school Rafly began to study guitar and modern music which was developing in Aceh. During his college days, Rafly loved and liked rock and metal music more and often performed with his college friends and forgot a little about Acehnese music. He became a teacher at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) in Ujung Panga village, Teunom sub-district, West Aceh district (now Aceh Jaya), a profession that matched his studies at college. As long as he is not active in the music world, he does not stop following the development of music in **Aceh.** of his concern for Acehnese music which is dominated by plagiarized music from Indonesian dangdut songs or Indian songs which are then remixed, they do not reflect Acehnese culture at all. Finally he invited his friends who have the same concern as him to form the a band called **"Kande".**<hr>

><b>`Kande as a newcomer band in Acehnese music carries the Ethnic-Modern genre which combines the two musical elements into one. It can be seen from the traditional musical instruments used such as`</b> <b><i>`rapa'i, tambo, and seurune kalee`</i></b> <b>`combined with modern guitars and basses. In Kande's first album, "The Fighting Spirit", there are many songs with lyric material containing advice and history such as "Seulanga, Asai Nanggroe, Mumang and Hoom", and the songs also vary from slow to rock. However, the song "Asai Nanggroe" has a special place in my heart because the lyrics tell about how our ancestors left many things to us so that as descendants we are no longer confused to face life. In addition to this song, Acehnese ethnic music is very thick, heard from the booming rapa'i that echoes throughout the song.`</b>

Although now Rafly Kande has become a **Senator** and Member of the **Indonesian Parliament,** he still does not stop working to produce quality songs for the public to enjoy. **Rafly Kande's**" new song is titled **Wakaf Keikhlasan** which contains social criticism of the **Indonesian Government** for forgetting the services of **Aceh** and its people towards **Indonesian Independence.**
