These past few days, there was a huge buzz all over the social media about the Avengers: Endgame. Why not? It’s a movie everybody has been waiting for. Aside from its effective marketing, well-crafted teasers and trailers scattered all over the internet. 
Memes and posts about the movie were and are still rampant all over facebook. There was one though that got into me a little bit. Just a tiny little bit. It said something about telling a parent not to bring their child in the movie house if they cannot behave or be quiet because  the movie was gonna be three hours long. My husband and I love watching movie especially Marvel movies and we also have been waiting for this movie. But I don’t like ranting or replying to posts like those so I thought of not watching the movie while everybody else is still hyped up. I was planning on just watching it when I feel everybody else has seen it – maybe after two or three weeks. I’m sure it will be showing in cinemas longer than usual. But then again, after that insensitive post about children going to cinemas, the world also is full of inconsiderate and heartless people who lacks breeding that mindlessly shared spoilers! I’ve already known what’s gonna happen before I saw the movie! It really ruined the experience, but I decided to see the movie before I ever see other spoilers again. 
I can’t find anyone that could take care of our daughter so we brought her to the cinema. I know it’s  gonna be the longest three  hours for  her so I made an intricate plan on how to keep her quiet and entertained while we watch the movie. And this is a very interesting story. 
So my plan was to make sure her mouth is busy so she won’t talk. I packed enough bottles of milk and water, and snacks. Of  course, that’s all she will do while we’re in the movie house. We entered the cinema just a few minutes before  the movie  actually started. We usually sit ourselves early in our early to watch other trailers but I wanted to make sure she doesn’t have that much idle  time. Plus, the snack I bought (French fries) is only enough until the  movie ends. She loves French fries so much I’m sure she will be very much busy eating. She’s not a fast eater too so I know  I got  those  three hours covered. 
Everything is already planned and has to be followed down to a tee. On the first few minutes, she was quiet. The intro caught her interest. Everything’s cool. Nothing to worry about yet. She is also a music lover so whenever there’s a beautiful musical score, she is really quiet. When she saw Thor, she blurted *“Añaman!”* She happens to be a big fan of Aquaman. I got a bit worried. *So it begins.* I started with her water bottle. Of course, I can’t keep her drinking water so I gave her French fries after a few minutes. It has to be timed perfectly. Aside from a few more comments about Thor being Aquaman, she was generally quiet. I think she liked the movie too. 
My husband took the bag of fries from me. It was so nice of him to take stuff off my hands so I can handle our daughter while watching. I was fine with the multitasking. My daughter and I were finally peacefully watching without the need of any bribes, food or drinks. Then a few moments later, she asked for French fries. I asked for the bag from my husband which he handed to me right away. It was dark in the  theater, of course, so I just groped for the fries without peeling my eyes off the screen. I fumbled for fries a few times but I really couldn’t find one. 
My husband ate all the fries in the bag. He asked for it earlier because he wanted to eat the fries. He clearly knew that those weren’t for him or me! My daughter was already asking for fries a little louder. I was really furious! We were only halfway from the movie and my plan is already ruined.  I stood up and brought our daughter to the back of the theater and we watched the movie from there. With me standing up while carrying her. I was still fine with it but I was already feeling the weight. I went back to our seat. It’s a good thing we were seated near the isle. I sat down, still frowning at him. When my daughter wanted to get up again, I didn’t flinch. I guess he felt guilty for eating all the food in the middle of the movie, he got up and took our daughter. 
I guess I was not wrong for bringing my daughter along with me to the movie. I should have thought twice about bringing my husband. LOL! He wasn’t able to finish the movie but it’s a good thing his office will be treating them to see Avengers on a premium cinema. At least he’s still gonna be able to watch it. 
Lesson learned, never ever ever hand over the food to your husband while in the movie. You’ll run out of food for your daughter.
