# 981 - The Hulk

The info below comes from Perth Mint's COA (Certificate of Authenticity) of this coin, Marvel Universe, https://en.numista.com/ , or https://www.wikipedia.org/. 

Today's coin is a 2019 Tuvalu $1 "The Hulk".

It weights 1oz (31.107g) with 99.99% silver purity and Brilliant Uncirculated finish. Its mintage was 50,000 units.

This is the 7th installment in the Marvel bullion series by Perth Mint in conjunction with the Pacific island nation of Tuvalu.

Bruce Banner's alter ego, The Hulk is revered as one of the most quintessential superheroes of all time. 


On the reverse side we see the Hulk, with his crazed and frenzied look communicating his catchphrase, "Hulk smash" with skillful engraving. The Hulk's fist of destruction is illustrated in the foreground, while meticulous etching in the background of the coin displays the devastation left in his wake.

The obverse, engraved by Ian Rank-Broadley, portraits Queen Elizabeth II using the famous Girls of Great Britain tiara.
