<p>I've been back in Japan for just over two weeks and have already seen several bitcoin ads as well as a possible inspiration for the new Steemit logo?</p>
<p>This is an ad by GMO, a large internet conglomerate that is moving aggressively into bitcoin. <a href="https://www.coindesk.com/japans-gmo-internet-reveals-cryptocurrency-mining-plan/">Next year they are getting into mining</a>, <a href="https://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2017/12/15/business/corporate-business/gmo-internet-start-paying-employees-salaries-partially-bitcoin/#.WjdV47aZPNA">giving their employees an option to be paid partially in BTC </a>as well as this advertisement that says "It's time to start bitcoin with GMO.".</p>

<p>These were taken on the JR Chuo Line and the Keio line.</p>
<p>Next up was an interesting find up in Niigata station, a drinking fountain shaped like the new Steemit logo. Coincidence or did someone from Steemit Inc. visit Niigata?</p>

<p>Lastly is the well known Bic Camera advertisement that they accept bitcoin as payment. This one is at the Hachioji Bic. I have to buy an expensive Christmas present and may try to use some BTC for that. Of course I'll buy BTC to cover the cost, but I want to do it as an experiment.</p>
