I was wondering how it works when almost 50% of votes actually say no to the winner no matter which one wins ... 52/48 ... civil war rather than democratic majority id say but
it turns out it doesnt

imo theres as much chance the americans will abandon the electoral system they have now as the belgian governments saying "hey , we can cut cost by 80% here, lets go back to one federal gov i.o. 5 separate ones)
