Another day less for the Christmas countdown and my crafts today will bring you a cool Christmas tree alternative!

Using some pieces of driftwood, rope, cord and wool, this is what I made:

The hardest part was to fix the driftwood tight enough so that the pieces would slide to the side and my trees wouldn't fall apart. First I made a small one to experiment and then I made another, bigger one, as a present for my cousin. She gave it a nice spot in her bedroom, right next to her desk. I feel so proud to look at it whenever I go to her room to study English with her!

To be honest, I mostly like the cute little cap on top. It makes such a great star top alternative. What do you say?

I love your tree.  The cap reminds me of a small child nodding off on Christmas Eve, with thoughts of magic her head.  The pom poms are perfect, the wood also, because it's a tree!

Thank you! I love it too *(I just can't stop staring at it and feeling proud like a little child who has just accomplished something very big in their eyes)*! The cap is a touch I liked so much, I'm thinking of making a bunch more and turning a set of my Christmas lights into a pretty, capped garland for my window ledge. I'll see if I find the time before holidays are over, haha...
