**No Way Out** came out in 1987. Starring Kevin Costner, this film of the story of naval commander Tom Farrell, tasked with hunting down a Russian spy who is accused of killing the mistress of the Secretary of Defence. Of course the spy is the fabrication and Ferrell finds himself the possible target he is hunting. Or something to that effect. This is a good old fashion is 1980s Cold War-era spy thriller.
Of course, one of the drawbacks, of this movie, is it does spend a lot of time setting things up before the big, inciting incidents take place.
Costner is at the height of his star power in this one. I thought this character was a bit erratic but that perfectly fit the motivations and challenges he was experiencing. Sean Young is Susan, the mistress in question and a love interest to Costner’s Farrell. She actually does pretty good here. Gene Hackman is the Secretary of Defence and Will Patton is his second.

Once the inciting incidents occur The movie really took the speed and attention. There are some really cool spoilers but I won’t, ham, spoil him. It is worth watching.
# Check it out! Worth the watch!
