Creating Job Opportunities Through An Industrial Work Program In Aceh (PRAKERIN)

Hello Steemit community, I hope you are all well!
Today I would like to introduce you to a program my country is currently running which will help educate students and prepare them for the working world, with the hopes that there will be more job opportunities open to them. The program is called Industrial Work Practice (PRAKERIN) and is an educational and learning activity that has been undertaken by the Business World or Industrial World in an effort to assist students to find work once they leave school.

There are as many as 20 students of SMKN 3 Lhokseumawe, a region in Aceh, Indonesia who are currently being debriefed and recruited by the PRAKERIN initiative. These XI class students will carry out industrial work practices (PRAKERIN) in 10 different industrial fields. Some of these students have skills in industries such as graphic design and graphics production. As a result, they will be placed in into the program in accordance with the competence or expertise they possess, such as in printing and screen printing.

##### **There are certain conditions that learners must follow before being accepted into the program, including:**

- There must be an odd semester value in class XI (second years)

- Students must be computer literate

- They must be able to purchase the uniform required

- They need to be aware that not all applications will be accepted

- The industrial work practices must comply with the school’s principles


#### **The head of our school in SMKN 3 Lhokseumawe emphasized that:**


Students who are included into the program and follow it diligently, will maintain a good reputation of the school and set an example for the other students. If students cannot stick to the program and adhere to the requirements, then the students will be returned to his normal schooling institution. 

It was also added that after the students have completed the PRAKERIN program, they are to return to school and are expected to share their knowledge with their fellow learners. The information and knowledge they have received from the program will be a great advantage in helping them start businesses of their own.
