Another week finished, and I have zero items in my collection on the CBSI Top 10 list.  I might as well be investing in Litecoin again (just kidding, Litecoin fans, I'm not factitious).  Or am I?
 
At least my *Harley Quinn 57* Tedesco is doing well, as is my *Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man* Spider-Gwen.  A few *Immortal Hulks* are doing very well, but the ones of any high value I didn’t get at cover price.  Good thing for us all, we’re moving on to another week.

Same as above…this one is going for about double the cover price.  Again, I only recommend these to folks who a) like the titles, or b) can flip these issues fairly quickly.  It’s hard to know what medium and long term value will be on the three above.

The Batman Who Laughs, the Grim Knight, a “happy” Bruce Wayne from the multiverse, (and of course), our beloved Dark Knight.  Where is this all going?  Who is who and where are we?  Let’s hope Snyder and company brings it altogether into a nice, complex finality.  *Metal* is a tough act to follow, but I have faith in my DC Universe.

Another sweet Mark Brooks *Batman* piece.  The story isn’t bad, either, as the Arkham Knight is turning out to be another formidable foe of the Batman.

The Ron Lim cover already sold out, but I do like Cover A quite a bit.  Mysterio vs the Symbiote Parasite and the Peter Parker host? I love it! It reminds of those olden days, long before Venom, when Spider-Man in his black costume was super cool.  Too bad my brother and I read those issues over, and over, and over, to the point that they have no real collection value today.  Oh well…hey, at least we were reading something when we were kids.

What a great Flash cover; the colors are brilliant, fantastic, and make me think of something cosmic, esoteric, and grandiose in respect to the Speed Force and color spectrum.  That sounds like a good idea for a future blog post.  Oh, and this is the beginning of the *The Flash:Year One* storyline.  What better issue to jump into to get back into the Crimson Comet’s mythology?  I’m in.

I’m trying to stay away from these Battleline variants, but I might not be able to help myself with this Mysterio cover.  I probably should save my money for key Mysterio issues instead, but I might not be able to tomorrow morning.

I’m on the fence with this one…I love Dell Otto, I love Galactus, and I love the Silver Surfer.  I imagine one could find all sorts of alchemical symbolism encoded in the cover, or the idea of Galactus as the Demiurge/the Silver Surfer as Logos/Lucifer, but I just like how it looks.  The price tag is making me a little reluctant, however.  Why can’t you just be like $3.99 USD????  Logos would not approve!

Speaking of Logos/Lucifer, this new story features a man converted into a shark/man hybrid by Satan.  Why would Satan do such a thing?  Soul collection, of course.  Will William Campbell be featured in this issue as one who Metal Shark Bro is dispatched to collect?  I do hope so…that would make for an exciting blog post.

This new title, from Image, features a small society of black magicians intent on bettering society.  Yet not all is well, as one magician believes the system is not correct, and needs a change.  I might grab this one…sounds interesting, but it could be a dud.  We’ll see how I feel come tomorrow morning.

This week, I’d have to go with DC’s “House of Secrets 92*.  I can’t remember if it is Cain or Abel that possesses the House of Secrets, but this issue is considered the first appearance of one of my favorite comic book characters of all-time, the Swamp Thing.  Grade comics 7.0 and above are going for $1500 - $2000 USD at this time.  Would I spend 2 Litecoin on such a thing?  Of course I would!  For all the problems of a) dealing with a horrendous Wisconsin winter and b) not getting to Costa Rica last year, this would be a nice second place win.  Alas, Litecoin can’t even get me a second place win right now…I’m so over you, Litecoin.  So over you…
 
Anyway, with the new DC streaming show due out soon (I can’t wait), this one has done nothing but go up in price.  I hope you own a copy, however!
