#2 Psychology In Business Stability
Hello! Friends,

I started a discussion on **[stability](https://whaleshares.io/@samest/1-psychology-in-business-stability)** two days ago, which ended with take-home points and the last point stated that change is constant that needs proper planning. I will end the discussion with this section. Let me start by revealing to you that your understanding about change needs to get to the point of knowing that it's only sustainable within a fairly narrow window. What do I mean by this?

Take an example of an athlete that want a change at all cost and begins the training to the point of training too hard, it is likely for him/her to end up sick or injured. As a businessman, organization, project manager, the moment you change course too quickly be ready for your culture to breakdown and your employees will get burnt out. A leader that always pushes his personal agenda/goal to the extreme leads to nation riots or people's re-establish the balance of power. **Note** A system that is living do not like extreme conditions.

Friends write this down, the moment a growth becomes excessive as it does happen with cancer, that system will tend to seek to compensate by slowing down, and this might put the organization/business survival at risk in the process.

Application of balance as I revealed in Part A of this journal will help your business survival. This revealed that the accumulation of small wins with a focus on one percent of improvement will nudge equilibrium forward.

consider how to build muscle, if you are not aware, your muscles will atrophy if the weight is too light and again you'll end up with injury if the weight is too heavy. The only means for your muscles to adapt to the new stimulus is by the lifting of weight that is just a touch beyond your normal and the equilibrium will take a step forward.  The sustainability of your habit is a natural tendency of life, plan for it.

I will end this journal with a word of advice, to experience a change that will last in your business, behavior, job and your life endeavor, you need to work with the fundamental forces in your lives and never work against them. When you look at your daily life makeup (activities), you need to balance them in other to be productive. seek for your natural set point, normal pace and a typical rhythm, when you discover this point, never reach too far beyond the equilibrium because this might make us find ourselves being yanked back to the baseline. 
 
A new level of equilibrium is not with radical change rather through small wins each day. The moment you try to change your life all at once prepare to find yourself pulled back into the same pattern as before.
