There are many things that do not get done or achieved by wishing, there are times you need to acquire new skills or improve on your existing skills. For example; there is no conviction you can give to yourself that will make you to know how to fly an airplane without acquiring the skills for flying. This is why the place of skill in the success story of anyone can never be overemphasized.

You may have the same degree certification with someone else but what differentiates both of you is your level of skill and how you can apply it to get a given task done.

Your certificates may give you access to some level of employment but the truth is, to get higher and to make impact, you will need more than just certificates - obviously, you will need relevant skills. The keyword there being "relevant".

It may interest you to know that some big multinational companies nowadays do not base their recruitment solely on certificates but by "what you can offer to the company" - this is where skills come into play.

To stand out among the rest, you need to possess what others do not. Not just possessing it but applying it gainfully. Of course, the only prove of your skill is in its application. If you cannot convert your skills into gain, then acquiring it was futile.

Here's the truth, when you grow your skills, your skill will ultimately create opportunity for you that will make your life to grow. So y'all should keep upgrading and updating.
