Some people have failed to realize that fear could be nothing more than just false evidences that have presented themselves in such a way to make you believe they actually do exist. Maybe this story would pass some message to you.

Tony have had a phobia for cold almost all his life. And worst of it all is the fact that even the thoughts of cold would send chills down his spine. And as such, he dreaded going to cold places - having the fears that he would freeze to death.

This fears grew worse as he aged, and it made him keep away from cold things - he would prefer a hot cup of coffee over a chilled bottle of soda; even in the blazing heat of the day. And humorous enough, he never attempted to break loose from this bondage, but allowed himself to be subjected to this kind of irrational fear.

After he graduated from the school as a mechanical engineer, he got a job with a construction company. The normal routine of the employees there is; they'll come to work, get changed in their work-clothes, and keep their bags inside the locker room.

Tony never knew all these while that the locker room they used was an abandoned cold room that was used to store seafood, and they converted it to locker room because it wasn't functioning again. But when his friend gave him this info, he stared dreading the room, and he would always think "what if I enter this room and it starts working again, and I freeze to death?"

One day, his fears caught up with him. He entered the locker room, and out of panic, he tripped the locks, and the door jammed and got him locked inside it. When the room was finally opened by his colleagues, he was found dead inside. How is that possible? The room is not functional at all, so what could have killed him? When an autopsy was run on his corpse, it was discovered he froze to death... how weird! freezing without even the room getting cold. That's what fear can do. His brain had deceived him into believing that the room was getting cold.

So you see, your fears can become your enemy if you refuse to wage war against it.
