I posted yesterday about my new FB group in which I am currently educating people how to optimise their posts and I am most grateful for all the enthusiastic feedback and upvotes. 

I would like to expand now on how I intend to make this the one and only Facebook group you will ever need to visit.  If indeed you still use Facebook.

## My promise to those who post there:

- I will educate the group by sharing posts from those of us who kindly take the time to break down the system behind their success on the platform.  Particularly grateful to @sirwinchester for his assistance in this area with awesome detailed posts.

- I will help the group by reading all posts and commenting on them if I feel there is an area of their work they could improve on.  This is no easy task given that I have a full time job, a baby and another one on the way in 3 weeks.  Oh and did I mention that I work from home?  So yeah, it can be a struggle finding time.  But I am a persistent bugger when I choose and am currently getting up at 3am every morning to create the extra time.  I do this because I BELIEVE in this project.  And I am enjoying every aspect of the journey.

- My final promise to you is that I will upvote everything I see posted there.  Regardless of it's quality.  But if it's not up to scratch, I will leave you a message with advice on how to improve.  And if I don't see improvement, well.. I will keep on reminding you!

Because to put it in simple terms EDUCATION & PERSISTENCE are the two basic keys to success here.

I feel as if a screen video (accompanied by my voice) may be the best way to teach others how to optimise their posts and more than this, optimise their time on the platform, taking full advantage of the curation aspect too.

## One group to rule them all!

There are hundreds of Steemit related Facebook groups now and for the most part they seem to reap little reward for the simple reason that people share on mass to 20+ groups each time they produce a new post and don't spend enough time looking at the other posts there.  They may give you a thumbs up and they may even take the time to open your post and give it an upvote.  But the number of people actually reading through the feed of their 20+ groups is small.  Because to do so would take an eternity!

That is why there must be one group only.  This buys us the time we need to actually click on peoples' posts.

The main problem is that the FB groups are for the most part full of minnows and total newbies.  And with minimal voting power they are lost in the great Steemit Ocean, still learning to swim with the bigger fish.

So if I can create a community in which we are helping each other improve,  there will be a consistent rise in the overall voting power of the group, and if we are faithfully sticking to the 'vote for vote' system....everyone wins.  

This platform is not simple at first (though in truth I can only speak for myself) but if someone had been guiding me, I could have progressed much faster than I did.

If you still use Facebook, I encourage you to join the group and enjoy the promise of my upvote and more importantly take advantage of the educational aspect of the page and resulting rise in voting power of the group as a whole.  I have no desire to evict people from the group, but if we do not behave as a team, out you will go.  You will however be given two warnings before it comes to this.

But I want to emphasise that ultimately I am here to help with your ability to succeed on Steemit.  

Because if you succeed, so too do I.

## The 'vote for vote' system

It's a tough one to police and even tougher (for me particularly) to play this role, ultimately having to evict people from the group if they don't stick to the system.  If anyone fancies taking on this role for me, please just let me know!

It's also difficult to keep up if you have hundreds of upvoters.

But that's why this group is currently perfect.  Not too many people post there.  122 members to be precise.

We are all learning together & rising in power together and we all all upvoting each other as we go.  If everything goes to plan what we will end up with is a group of dolphins all upvoting each other. 

...which makes me feel all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it :)

## Why 'Aspiring steemit whales & dolphins'?

I was lucky enough to film a bunch of whales & dolphins recently in North Maluku, Indonesia.  Flying my drone along side them was a truly awesome experience.

Interestingly, the dolphins didn't like the drone and dove underwater shortly after spotting it.  The whales however seemed curious to know what this hovering, noisy thing was!  And they posed perfectly for me.

This footage got me thinking and it wasn't long after this I started playing with ideas for a Steemit related banner.  As a creative person, this happens to be a process I enjoy very much.  And out of this process grew the idea for the group.

I hope very much that with your support it will be a success and I also hope that I don't have to evict anyone!  It's a simple rule to stick to and just plain common sense that if we help each other improve our posts whilst consistently upvoting each other, it can only end with smiles all round.

As much as I dislike using Facebook, it remains the #1 social media platform and as such we much use it wisely to convert the masses.
