Am overjoyed to see that [@rebeccastonehill](https://whaleshares.io/@rebeccastonehill/introducing-rebecca-stonehill-author-mother-traveller) finally posted her [intro post](https://whaleshares.io/@rebeccastonehill/introducing-rebecca-stonehill-author-mother-traveller) today on Whaleshares (which is a good start) and I wanted in this happy moment to put out a quick post of my own, as a kind of advert for her.  Coz she really is a special human being from whom I have taken much inspiration over the years.  And I probably don't tell her this enough!

Here we are the four of us.  Me top right and the three girls I spent my formative years with.  Dad was rarely around.

Rebecca is the confused looking one bottom right and Louisa is the other (mid sneeze), now a violinist & mother living near Boston, USA.  Our young and beautiful mother top left had a steem account for a while, which is still there [@cryptogranny](https://steemit.com/@cryptogranny) with her 15 steem waiting for that moon!

Unfortunately, steemit was too much of a leap for her and she ended up sending me huge documents with instructions to just "put it all on steemit".  Which at the time was impossible.

She may yet return but for now she is just an investor.  The $100 she invested back in 2016 is worth a whole bunch more now, so she can see the value in all of this.

## Back to Rebecca...

She is a published author amongst other things, with [three books](https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=books+by+rebecca+stonehill&i=digital-text&ref=nb_sb_noss) under her wing. Historical fiction.

There is poetry too which flows instinctively from within her, sometimes dark but always beautiful & soulful.  There is an intensity to it which probes deep.  I hope she finds the courage to post some of it here along with her huge collection of insanely beautiful international photos.

I love her very much have been holding a particular vision of her for some time.  

## The perfect night's sleep 

(hey, that reminds me Beck - you never sent me the pic of you sleeping!)

Anyway, she has chronic insomnia.  She mentioned it in her post so I don't think she will mind me mentioning it here.  I feel as if she may find some answers here, perhaps through our amazing wise members of the @naturalmedicine group or perhaps because there is a kinda therapy to posting here daily.  That's how it is for me anyway. 

The sleeplessness has been for so very many years, but the clues are coming now, more and more all the time...

She has shown me how powerful the human spirit can be even when all hope appears lost and you are hallucinating through sleep depravation.  I will never forget how it felt when she told me she was writing daily gratitude lists:

- I am grateful for my insomnia because...
- I am grateful for my insomnia because...
- I am grateful for my insomnia because...

Such perfection.  

You are a bright shining star Beck and I know you will find your answer.

I like to imagine I am doing my best to continue looking after her today.  In my own way.

And this my friends makes her special amongst us as most of us here started on steem & now post on both.
