Entertainment Blog #29 - Lupin : The Gentleman Bulgar | 5% for SL Charity

Most of us love to read books. Sometimes we get obsessed with them. When you got obsessed with those stories, don't you like to be in the Universe of that story.. For an example, if you like Harry Potter Book Series, don't you like to go to the magical world??

So this Web Series, Lupin is not based on a book. But the story of the main character is based on a book series which is Arsène Lupin by Maurice Leblanc. It's a very popular Short Story Series. Actually, even the writer of this stories was called as Arsène Lupin. This is a book series from 1900s. It's about a Gentleman thief named Arsène Lupin.

<b>Assane's Father With The Book</b></center><h5></h5>
Talking about the series, it's a Netflix Original series and It's French. Still, only the first season was released. It was Two Part First Season. First part was released in January 2021. Then the second part was released  on 11th June. And you know what's the best thing is, this is the Most Successful International Series of Netflix. I was so surprised that it wasn't "Money Heist".

<b>The Jewelry</b></center><h5></h5>
The story goes around Assane (Omar Sy) and Pellegrini Family. Assane's father was working for Pellegrini Family. Assane's father was accused of stealing a valuable jewelry from Pellegrini house. So he was jailed and found dead later on. After years, the the jewelry surfaced again. Then that means it was like never stolen.

<b>Hubert Pellegrini</b></center><h5></h5>
This led Assane to motivate for getting revenge of Pellegrini Family for wrongfully accusing his father for stealing. And he follows the techniques which are in the Short Story series, Arsène Lupin.

<b>Assane as a Child</b></center><h5></h5>
The story goes like a Coming of Age type. The childhood story of Assane is going along with the present story. It's more like a comparison between the two timelines. And that makes the series more interesting.

I really enjoyed the series. There is only 5 Episodes in one part. I really hope if there was more episodes for a season. Netflix has already renewed the series for it's 3rd part. And most probably we can expect it in first few months in next year.

<b>Ratings</b></center><h5></h5>
Look at those numbers. 96% in Rottentomatoes means it has a great story. And. it really has it. If you are hesitant to watch the series just because it's French, don't do that. You can either watch it with English Subtitles or English Dubbed version. I hope you may enjoy it.  Peace.. ✌️
