Every man can find his love and his basic role in love. One should spread love and selflessly give one's heart to everyone. That is the point of love, that is its basic task. Love is when you are ready to sacrifice everything for the sake of the person you like. Love is when you are ready to lose everything to get what you want. That is why love is worth so much. Everything in life can be fleeting, but love is something that lasts.*

This bridge was built in the period before the First World War. During that period, love flourished between two people in love. Teacher Nada and Serbian officer Relja fell in love. The love was so strong that everyone felt it, everyone talked about it in Vrnjačka Banja. But something unexpected happened. War broke out, the officer had to go to Greece. He never returned, he fell in love with a beautiful Greek woman there. Despite his promise, he breaks up with Nada. He continued to live as if nothing had happened. But Nada couldn't stand it. She fell into depression, she was grieving, and because of that grief she died.

This is a sad, and true story about a young girl who died out of love. The girls who were shaken by this fate of the young girl, found a way to preserve their love. The way they found on this bridge. By locking the padlock on this bridge, we lock in our love, and make it unbreakable. Unfortunately I haven't locked the padlock yet, I haven't fallen in love yet. But I think there is still time for me. Of course, like any story, this one was quickly forgotten, but the padlock lock continued, it became a custom that still exists today. Desanka Maksimović, a famous Serbian poetess, wrote a beautiful poem related to this bridge: "Prayer for love "
