photo smiles, cake at the table and songs around the campfire

but inside ... inside
the dark cloud misty cape of death swirls 
in my blood and bones and breath
grief grips my heart 
sobbing and gasping and begging and blaming
everything colored ugly by the pain  

leaves fall from the trees
and I want the world to burn
release the energy we just can't talk about
in a great blinding ball of heat and light alchemy power bomb release
I want explosive healing, but the leaves wisp delicately to the ground so we tiptoe whisper all around

I'm supposed to be grateful and loving
serving and caring
but I'm raging 
and dying
and changing
and fearing
failing and flailing

anger grows 
and grows
and grows

and I don't remember anything but this dying
