## Survival of the Funniest ##

The life of being a homeless artist, tarot reader (mental therapist), waste remover, energy worker and private security officer has been an easy one for the most part, minus the incredibly low income that I earn which isn't the best income for survival. The few rains I dealt with in the past weren't too big of a deal...

Until last night...

You can't see too much of the videos, as it was obviously dark, but I can write out the tale here.

## God's Wrath ##

I left the Library about 7:30 pm with no knowledge that it was pouring outside. Once outside, I had to set my backpack down and get into my rain gear, which consists of wool socks, snow pants, and an army coat with a hood. 

Only about a block down the road the rain came down even harder, as if we were having sex and the bitch wanted to make me come. I did come...er, go to the nearest bridge, which was a walkway across a small tributary to the Animas River. 

Taking Shelter under the bridge, I sat and watched the wind, rain and chaos ensue as I puffed my "peace pipe" and sipped on a cheap beer. 

After 30-45 minutes, the rain seem to quiet down. I sat there finishing the last of my beer when I heard a creaking/gurgling in the distance. I turned toward the embankment/dam just in time to see the water crest over and crash into the creek bed with incredible force. The tributary went from being empty to about a foot deep within a minute, at which point I started filming...

The force was incredible enough to plow logs over the dam and push them downstream. Much of the trash I intended to pick up the next day washed right by me, never to be seen again. 

After another hour, the rain stopped and the waters receded. I made it to camp and had time to eat and get into my already wet bedding just in time for round 2 of the storm. It rained on me all night and no artwork was harmed in the process.

This morning, I took a picture of the aftermath. All of the leaves and limbs you see there were not there the day before. Such is the awesome power of water.
