*There's something very satisfying about hanging the washing out to dry on a sunny, blustery, early Spring day. I bought my washing line from the Ropery at Chatham Historic Dockyards - still made in a building a quarter of a mile long.*

*My seed potatoes arrived this week. The packet said "open immediately", but it's still a week or two early to start them in the middle lands of England. I compromised and put half to start and half in the bottom of the fridge to start at the beginning of March. Day 3 in the Chitting Room and still no sprouts.*

Earlier this week, I found that Sly and Robbie are touring Europe. I'm planning to go and see them in Paris where they are playing with Nils Petter Molvaer. They've made an extraordinary album together. [I posted about it on Thursday](https://steemit.com/actifit/@shanibeer/actifit-shanibeer-20190214t194948759z) and, over the past few days, I've been listening to the music. I guess it's a kind of jazz. The album is called Nordub.

I found your posts very interesting, especially because you're experimenting and learning. I get very frustrated with my photography (at least my pictures arrive on steem the correct way up now)! That dragon photo - even though I know what it is now, I still get that confusion at first until I adjust my vision!

When seeing the flower pots it reminded me if the first time I visited Britain in winter. It was early February and everywhere outside were cyclamens in flower pot. In Germany these are strictly plants for indoors and I was shocked his these poor plants were treated! What difference only some degrees warmer make :)

And I ordered tomato seed. Mostly old sorts, partly originally from Russia (hardier in case of a cold summer) and this makes buying them interesting in the EU. The are not on the official "safe to be eaten" list and so they are sold with the information "only for use as ornamental plants". Of course I would never think about eating them ;)

I feel the same when I go to see my sister in Cyprus - hot house plants are just growing outside! I think we have different varieties of cyclamen here for inside and outside. I'm not very good with indoor plants, they rarely survive.

We have several Russian varieties of tomatoes available here. I didn't know they weren't "safe to be eaten" - good thing you told me. I am buying my tomatoes as plug plants, it seems more economical and they have a better chance of survival!

I'm slightly very jealous of people who can dry their clothes outdoors at this time of year. My tiny garden's north facing and gets no sun dammit!

It's been a great year for feeling spring coming early. The last time I remember Fed being so warm was 1994.

I love being able to dry the washing outside! I have got a covered area at the back of the house which suffices in the winter or when it's raining, but there's nothing like the smell of washing that's had a good blow outside.
It is very warm, isn't it? My neighbour and I had a long natter about it yesterday. I'm trying to remember what on earth I was doing in February 1994 ...

Those sausages look fantastic, and have to be healthy with a tomato and mushrooms! That’s proper traditional rope, do you have to only put it out when you use it though? It seems like if you leave that type out is will soak up the wet and get miss growing on it.

Two sausages are only 255 calories, plus super tasty!
I've left the rope out over the winter, and just checked it for lichens etc today. It looks pretty good, and checking it, the fibres look pretty water resistant, not sure whether it is hemp or sisal.
